Ok...so it has been ages since I updated here. This summer just kept us oh so busy and Labor Day came and went so quickly. The girls kept me hopping all summer long. We went and did a lot of fun things and didn't get to half of what we still wanted to do. We also spent a lot of lazy days by Grandma's pool. Who can complain of that?!
Well, school has started and I now have a 2nd grader and a 6th grader and all the extracuricular activities that fall along with them. My poor little Boo wants to go to school like the big girls and cries just about every day when they leave for the bus. Hopefully preschool will be in her near future, for my sake and hers!!

Ok, well this came to me yesterday from my freind, Kim. It is not one of those cutesy, lovey dovey friendship poems. Nope, it the hardcore truth of friendship! Enjoy and feel free to pass on to your friends. 1. When you are sad -- I will jump on the person who made you sadlike a spider monkey jacked up on mountain dew.
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you are plotting something that I must be involved in.
4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick -- Stay away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy butt.
This is my oath.... I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask; 'because you are my friend'. Friendship is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth..

I know I haven’t been around here in a few days, but I can’t pass up on one of these. I just can’t. Let’s see what’s in my head for the day. It's getting late and I am tired so who knows what I will come up with.
Three Things That Scare Me:
1. SHARKS
2. Spiders (yeah kind of lame, but it was the second thing that popped into my head)
3. Losing my husband and/or my girls
Three People Who Make Me Laugh:
1.Mark
2. Katie
3. My brother ( his calling in life really is being a comedian
Three Things I Love:
1. My kids and hubby
2. Getting lost in a great book or movie
3. Sleeping! (too bad I don't have this luxury anymore)
Three Things I Hate:
1. Bad drivers
2. clutter
3. Ignorance
Three Things I Don’t Understand:
1. Computers :)
2. My neighbors! ( where do these ppl come from ?)
3. Why some people have to mow there lawns 2-3x a week
Three Things On My Desk:
1. Computer
2. External hard drive
3. Cell Phone
Three Things I’m Doing Right Now:
1. Doing this
2. watching the dogs wrestle on the floor
3. Listening to the rain

Ok, well this came my way via, email. So, I decided I would respond to that email here. I know you guys are soooo excited to see my answers!! Some of these were pretty easy to answer and some made me stop and think for a moment. Sometimes, ok, most times, you start to loose your self as an individual when you become a mother as your whole life now revolves around your kids and husband. Toddlers sure can be peculiar little creatures.
It’s OK to be just me. I don’t have to compare myself with others. God made me the way He saw fit. I don’t have to keep up with anyone else. I have no one to impress but God, Mark and my girls.
It’s important to step outside of your comfort box from time to time.
I’m never too old to learn things.
To have more faith in my husband :)

There is nothing sadder than a childless couple. It breaks my heart to see them relaxing around swimming pools in Florida, sitting all suntanned and miserable on the decks of their boats -- trotting off to Europe like lonesome fools. It's an empty life. Nothing but money to spend, more time to enjoy and a whole lot less to worry about.
The poor childless couple are so wrapped up in themselves, you have to feel sorry for them. They don't fight over the child's discipline, don't blame each other for the child's most obnoxious characteristics, and they miss all the fun of doing without for the child's sake. They just go along, doing whatever they want, buying what they want and liking each other. It's a pretty pathetic picture.
Everyone should have children. No one should be allowed to escape the wonderful experience that accompanies each stage in the development of the young -- the happy memories of sleepless nights, coughing spells, tantrums, diaper rash, debts, "dipso" baby sitters, saturated mattresses, emergencies and never-ending crises.
How dismal is the peaceful home without the constant childish problems that make a well-rounded life and an early breakdown; the tender, thoughtful discussions when the report card reveals the progeny to be one step below a moron; the end-of-the-day reunions with all the joyful happenings recited like well-placed blows to the temples.
Children are worth it. Every moment of anxiety, every sacrifice, every complete collapse pays off as a fine, sturdy adolescent is reached. The feeling of reward the first time you took the boy hunting -- he didn't mean to shoot you, the lad was excited. Remember how he cried? How sorry he was? And how much better you felt after the blood transfusion? These are the times a man with a growing son treasures -- memories that are captured forever in the heart and the limp.
Think back to the night of romantic adventure when your budding daughter eloped with the village idiot. What childless couple ever shared in the stark realism of that drama? Aren't you a better man for having lived richly, fully, acquiring that tic in your left eye? Could a woman without children touch the strength and heroism of your wife as she tried to fling herself out of the bedroom window?
The childless couple live in a vacuum. They fill their lonely days with golf, vacation trips, dinner dates, civic affairs, tranquility, leisure and entertainment. There is a terrifying emptiness without children, but the childless couple are too comfortable to know it.
You just have to look at them to see what the years have done: He looks boyish, unlined and rested; she's slim, well-groomed and youthful. It isn't natural. If they had had kids, they'd look like the rest of us -- worn out, wrinkled and exhausted. Ann Landers
***Note to self you love your children with every ounce of your being...but a nice childless sounds really nice right about now.***
